Reflection on Amal Totkay — Developing a Growth mindset

Developing an entrepreneurial mindset is all about developing a growth mindset. The way of thinking, the assumptions, and the opinions leading to a growth mindset enable us to be an upgrade version of ourselves. Improving upon the traits, achieving goals by hard work, consistency, and determination are the key points to develop a growth mindset.

A list of Amal totkay helps to start implementing right away to develop a growth mindset. Following are all my favorite tips that helped me learn to develop a growth mindset.

  1. Self Talk

The best way is to analyze ourselves. Go through the daily routine activities and start analyzing your days. Having conversations with ourselves directly reflects our mindset. Make it a practice to think about your entire day, do self-talk, and check whether you are proceeding in the right direction. Think positively as our thoughts create our reality.

2.Get out of your comfort zone

Ask yourself what situation you can be put into in order to face the challenge and get out of the comfort zone. This is a really difficult tip, but it is where the life of your dreams starts. Do not restrict yourself to a limited area, try to face challenges to help you grow and achieve your goals.

3.Create new habits

Develop productive habits, focus on learning new skills, also spare hours for exercise. Creating new habits reinforces our thinking with actions. So, start upgrading from fixed to a growth mindset. Develop proper routines, integrating powerful habits, and continuously pushing yourself towards improvement would help in achieving a growth mindset.

4.Ask people to help

Most of the time people hesitate to ask for help. Amal gave us a concept of ‘Ek aur Ek gyara’, which is about our own benefit. Asking for help from peers and serving them back is what leads to a healthier community. Pick up the right people and approach those who are really willing to see us grow.

5.Fake it till you make it

Even though in worst situations, do not lose hope, rather pretend of having the abilities to achieve it. In weak situations, manipulate your mind in such a way that it gets you to act as if you were capable to do the tasks. Keep it in your mind “yes! I can do it”.

All of the above tips are very helpful, but the favorite one is ‘Getting out of the Comfort Zone. It really helped me to face challenges, pushing myself ahead, utilizing personal abilities to achieve my goals.
