As it is said that early bird catches the worm. My #JustStart experience is about getting my goal into implementation.

The goal that I chose is:

I will get enough sleep of 7 to 9 hours and set up alarms to help me wake up an hour early so that I can build my morning routine by starting my days focused and energized by the end of April 2021.

When a person is able to wake up and do things that he decided to do in advance because he really wants to do them, it is that he is granting himself the ability to start his day with intention. This is the reason to choose this goal, to have a positive sense of purpose that affects our mood and get more focused for the rest of the day.

The first task that I chose to perform in order to improve my wake-up schedule was to get proper night sleep of 7 to 9 hours.

The challenges that I faced were that I experience trouble sleeping at one time or another, maybe due to stress or might be a sleep disorder. I was spending too much time in bed during the day and in the later part of the day find myself unable to sleep. Also, spending too much time on laptops and cellphone, trying to complete the assignment, and everyday work by using devices that emit blue light before bed prevented me from falling asleep.

In order to overcome this challenge, I figured out how much sleep I need. Usually, seven to nine hours per night is recommended so, I tried my best to stick to my sleep schedule every day, including my days off and letting my body eventually begin waking up naturally.

I also figured out other reasons for not getting enough sleep that included excessive daytime sleepiness, lack of motivation, increased appetite, and tried to overcome them by forcing myself to think more positively and avoid negative thoughts that further would reduce stress and therefore increase my sleep duration.

This helped me to be determined towards my goal and try out every solution to the problem that I was facing, in order to overcome it and get more fruitful results. This activity enabled me to understand that better sleep would lead to a more active and fresh day ahead.

The next steps I feel to achieve are setting up alarms and avoid pressing the snooze button for having time to stay in bed and be lazy. I would try my best to be consistent with what I have decided to follow and work hard to achieve the goal. I would also avoid using my cellphone at least for one after waking up, to help me spent more time on myself thinking about scheduling the routine, doing exercises, and give myself my time :)
